PWEA ESP of the Year Award
Each year, one Education Support Professional receives the PWEA ESP of the Year Award in recognition of their outstanding contribution to their schools, communities, and profession.
While it showcases one outstanding support professional each year, the Award recognizes and honors the contributions to great public schools all Education Support Professionals make year-round.

Update on Continuing Contract
In the face of considerable opposition, VEA’s advocacy has preserved Continuing Contracts for teachers and protected a fair dismissal process for teachers. That’s the bottom‐line result for our members of the debates, vote‐counting and negotiations that have gone on in the past 18 months regarding teacher contracts in Virginia. Virginia teachers no longer face, as they did last year, losing Continuing Contract.
